My opinion to the book

You shoild read the book "The Austrailian Connection" because it is a very interessting story about a boy whos dad left his family. I think this story shows the feeling of children who have to grow up without a father or a mother. Many children have this destiny so it is good for other people to know how they feel.
The story is also about the life as a popstar, you get to know how it is when a band is very successesful but that the successes is away after a very short time....

The Mini-Saga to Chapter 9&10

The band success isn´t as much as before. Pete and Joe became rassists, skinheads and get a tattoo. So they leave he band. Alex and Dani go to London and make a new band called "The Dolfins". Alex changes his name from Corrnell to Reid, Tom is just a friend.

6th Chapter - Into the rain forest

Bofore I read this chapter I thought that Alex would be very angry and won´t be able to talk to him in a normal way because of his feelings.

When I read he chapter I realized that I was wrong. At first Alex was angry but that they talked to each other and planned to make a trip to Queensland.

I believe that when I had been in this situation I ma raction would be an other.
What to you think, how would you react in his situation?

5th capter

I think this capter was written in a very hard way, for me, am I the only one how had problems to understand it?
What for example happend with the poor cow?

But I also think that this capter was very interesting because Alex meets his dad for the first time. He was very nervous when he saw him standing in the crowd,
tell me, how would you feel in his situation? And what would you think will happen in the next capter? How would their relationship be!?

I'm looking forward on reading because I want to know, how Tom is like....

4th Capter

In this capter Alex and Dani have an disagreementabout some penguins "Eudyptula minor" standing on a floodlid and being watched by tourists. Dani thinks that they are very sweets but Alex thinks that they are looking lost and afraid, it seemed wrong to him that they have to sit there and being watchd the whole day.

I think it was a clever idea from Dani to compare Alex with the peguins so he knows how the life as a star could be.

But I also think that Alex aspects are right. He isn´t a peguin!

3rd Capter - the island and the mountain

Alex turned to Adelaide to meet Kevin and spend a week there. They often talk aubout Tom, and Alex gets to know his father, he is unsur, if his father wants to see him. He returned to Sydney with mixed feelings.

I think with "he" Tom is meant.
He didn´t know what he really meant with the thoughts "Let him see how he likes it!"
...but I think, we´ll find out in the next capter...

Alex´ first 66 hours in Austrailia...

Alex was looking forward to meet his dad but he also felt guilty of leaving his family behind. After die thirty-eight-hour-flight the plane landed in Sydney. But Tom wasn´t there, but a woman und two children calling his name.
Alex wondered why Tom wasn´t there. Mary (the woman) said, that he is in London and he´ll be back in a couple of days. Alex was shocked. Why did he not write antime!?

They drove home. Later they went to the beach, nothing special happened.
But later, when they came back Alex met Dani, a very beautiful girl, she invited him to meet her band. He looks forward to this...

First capter

After reading the firt capter, I think that this could be a very exiting story but the first capter wasn´t very interessting. i also think, that this book was verry easy to read and good to understand. I was able to understand alsmost of he words written in the text. I´m looking foward to go on with readung the text!
